1. Use of service
Crosstask is provided as-is, subject to these terms. By creating an account you agree to use the service responsibly and within applicable law. These terms apply to all use of the Crosstask apps, websites, and any related services we offer.
2. Account responsibilities
You are responsible for safeguarding the credentials used to access your account, including any TOTP factor you enroll. Activity that occurs under your account is your responsibility — keep your devices locked and notify us at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Subscription terms
Pro and Household subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through the App Store on Apple devices and through Stripe on Windows. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Stripe account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the renewal price posted on the day of renewal.
You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time:
- On iPhone / iPad / Mac: Settings → Your Name → Subscriptions → Crosstask.
- On Windows / web: open the Stripe customer portal link in Settings → Subscription.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not issue prorated refunds for the unused portion of a paid period, except where required by law.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Crosstask for spam, malicious automation, harassment, or storing illegal or infringing content. You further agree not to:
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract our software (except where permitted by law).
- Use the service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it for other users.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without authorization from [email protected].
- Use the service to violate any third party's rights or any applicable law.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with notice when reasonably possible.
5. Your content
You retain all rights to the content you create in Crosstask (your lists, tasks, notes, comments, attachments). You grant us a limited license to host and process your content only as needed to operate the service for you (storage, sync, AI calls you trigger, rendering on shared link pages you create). We claim no ownership over your content.
6. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion is 30-day reversible — signing back in within that window cancels the deletion. After 30 days we crypto-shred the encryption key that protects your content, which makes recovery impossible. See the Privacy Policy for details.
We may also suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these terms or that pose a security or legal risk to other users.
7. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, the accuracy of any AI output, or the preservation of any specific data beyond what's described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Crosstask be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of the service.
Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $50 if you have not paid us anything.
9. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Crosstask from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the service or your violation of these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, unless local consumer protection law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise.
11. Apple-specific terms
If you obtained Crosstask through the Apple App Store, these additional terms apply:
- These terms are between you and Crosstask only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- Your license to use the app is limited to a non-transferable license to use it on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price to you (if applicable). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app or your possession or use of it.
- Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
